1.Why do women have to wear a veil?

Women had to wear a veil because  it was apart  of a cultural revolution .Young girls had to do the same as older women.Some people were against it while the others liked the idea.Marjane didn't understand why she had to waer one.Everywhere in the streets there was demonstrations for and against the veil.So this veil was a big problem.


2.What happened to Marjane's mother?

Marjane'smother  was against the veil so she fought against it.She got to be on the cover of a European newspaper.Marjane was proud of her mother that she got to be on the cover of a newspaper.After that she dyed her hair because I'm guessing she was worried something might happen to her or her family.Marjane didn't understand why? her mother dyed her hair and why she walk around with shades.


3.Why does Marjane want to be a prohet?

She wants to be a prohet because she feels that God had choosen her to do something great.In the book it shows that Marjane talks to God everytime so she knows many things about.
